John Franchetti

John Franchetti is a classically trained chef with extensive experience in restaurant ownership, menu development, and culinary leadership. He began his career at Commander’s Palace under Chef Emeril Lagasse and completed advanced culinary and management degrees at Johnson & Wales University. Twice named Best Chef in Anchorage, John specializes in European and Cajun techniques, authentic Neapolitan pizza, and concept-driven cuisine. Lovingly called "The Pizza God"
Most recently, he co-owned Franchettis’ Gasthaus, featuring Southern German and Alto Adige cuisine.

I am a restaurant and food business professional with over 20 years of hands-on industry experience.

I grew up in a multi-restaurant family business in Germany and built my career as an owner-operator in the United States. Alongside my husband and business partner, I have developed, opened, and operated multiple food concepts—from a deli and coffee shop with private airline catering in Alaska to fine-dining and multi-concept restaurant operations in California.
